Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 August 2026
Read this part if you read nothing else. ShorWatch is an analysis and alerting tool. It reports what public blockchain data shows. It cannot stop a transaction, recover funds, or guarantee that it will spot everything. Do not treat it as your only safeguard.
1. Agreement
By using ShorWatch you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use the service. ShorWatch is operated by Gerard Sala, Spain.
2. What the service is
ShorWatch analyses publicly available Bitcoin blockchain data and reports whether the public key behind an address is exposed on-chain, along with related observations. Pro subscribers can additionally have addresses monitored and receive alerts by email.
3. What the analysis can and cannot tell you
This is the most important section, so we will be blunt about the limits:
- The analysis reads per-address public statistics. It cannot inspect multisignature arrangements, P2PK outputs from the 2009–2011 era, or anything about how you manage your keys.
- It is an informed first pass, not a security audit. A "protected" verdict is not a guarantee of safety.
- Alerts detect, they do not block. When an alert tells you funds moved, the transaction has already been broadcast. Nothing in ShorWatch can prevent or reverse it.
- Alerts depend on third-party data sources and on email delivery, neither of which we control. Do not build a plan that only works if an alert arrives.
- Nothing here is financial, investment, legal or tax advice.
4. What ShorWatch never asks for
We will never ask for a private key, a seed phrase, or a wallet passphrase. Anyone asking you for those in our name is trying to rob you. Extended public keys, which the scanner does accept, cannot spend funds.
5. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for the accuracy of the email address where alerts are sent. You must be at least 18 years old.
6. Pro subscriptions
- Pro is billed monthly through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, who handles payment and applicable VAT.
- You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
- If you are an EU consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. By starting to use Pro immediately you agree that performance begins at once; you may still contact us and we will deal with refund requests fairly.
- Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.
7. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to overload or disrupt the service or the third-party APIs it relies on, do not resell access without agreement, and do not use ShorWatch to target other people's holdings.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability. Monitoring may be delayed or interrupted by maintenance, outages, or failures at the data sources we depend on.
9. Liability
ShorWatch is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from use of the service, including loss of funds, missed or delayed alerts, or reliance on the analysis. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under Spanish or EU consumer law.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms, and will refund any unused paid period if we do so without cause.
11. Governing law
Spanish law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the law of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there.
